Alison Beck is the special projects director at the Briscoe Center. She has 35 years of collecting, curatorial, and research experience with archives and special collections. Her research interest is documentary work, especially photographic and film. She manages the acquisition of photojournalists’ archives and facilitates their projects.
Her recent publication projects include Struggle for Justice: Four Decades of Civil Rights Photography; Flash of Light, Wall of Fire: Japanese Photographs Documenting the Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki; and Eddie Adams: Bigger than the Frame, the retrospective work of the Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist.
