Adams, Jr. Centennial Professor in Liberal Arts at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on how Classical Epic poetry tells a good story that connects emotionally with its audience(s), primarily, but not exclusively, Homer\u2019s Iliad and Odyssey. Her most recent book is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/core\/books\/stories-of-similes-in-greek-and-roman-epic\/99D40D401891F17CE85438660099F0C0\">The Stories of Similes in Greek and Roman Epic<\/a> (Cambridge, 2023). In addition to her academic research, she regularly publishes opinion essays in Texas and national publications. With her advanced Greek students, she produces the podcast \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.la.utexas.edu\/musings-in-greek-literature\/\">Musings in Greek Literature.<\/a>\u201d\u00a0 For her latest project, she is writing a new book, <em>Visionary Women<\/em>, about four passionate women artists, their art, and their fans through the ages.
