Dyana Limon-Mercado (she/hers) is the Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Texas Votes. She has been part of the Planned Parenthood family for over a decade and has dedicated her career to fighting for a Texas where every person has access to the full range of reproductive health care services, regardless of income, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or residence. Dyana has been a pioneer for reproductive health and rights in Texas, spearheading a multi-year leadership program that has trained thousands of young advocates and future leaders of the reproductive rights movement, running campaigns that have reached more than 500,000 voters, and helping to build the organization to over 1 million supporters strong.
Dyana has served on numerous boards of directors and commissions for causes that work to advance race equity and gender equity, including the Equity Advisory Committee for Austin ISD, City of Austin Commission for Women, and the YWCA Greater Austin. She was elected as the Travis County Democratic Party Chair from 2018 to 2020, the first Hispanic person to do so, and ran one of the most successful and inclusive coordinated campaigns in the county party’s history. Dyana’s close relationship with women’s issues, health care and racial equity comes from her personal experience as a mother, Latina, community advocate, grassroots organizer and leader.
