He currently serves as a contributor to the\u00a0<em>Russia Reform Monitor<\/em>, AFPC\u2019s\u00a0in-house bulletin on Russian governance and U.S. policy. His commentary has appeared in\u00a0<em>The Hill<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>The National Review<\/em>.\u00a0He holds a BA in Government and Russian Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, where he participated in the Bill Archer and J.J. Pickle Research Fellowships, in addition to serving as a FLAS Fellow in Kyiv, Ukraine. Matt has previously contributed to the work of AFPC\u2019s Central Asia\u2013Caucasus Institute, U.S. Foreign Policy and National Security Program, and the<em>\u00a0Resource Security Watch<\/em>\u00a0publication.
