His lab addresses this interplay experimentally by building physical model systems in the lab. Jos\u00e9 received his MSc in Physics from the Universit\u00e4t Leipzig, Germany; and his PhD in Physics from AMOLF and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands.
