Natosha Daniels

Natosha is a doctoral student in the Education Policy and Planning program. Her research pursuits are rooted in collective grassroots organizing and Black parent led movements that shift power structures and education policymaking. She is also interested in the intersections of capitalism and racial equity in EC-12 education systems. She spent 15 years in public education as a science and special education teacher, technology coach, and administrator. She is the Chief Systems Navigator for Round Rock Black Parents Association, a mother of three, and a 2020 New Leaders Council Fellow.

She has a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Texas State University. Natosha’s work has been featured in public media and panels including a policing in schools panel through the Institute of Policy and Urban Development (2021) as well as in the Black Lives Texas podcast (2021) through the University of Texas. She has collectively presented her work on Black parent organizing at the Teachers Guild/IDEO convening in San Francisco in 2019.
