Richard J. Reddick, Ed.D., is the\u00a0inaugural associate dean for equity, community engagement, and outreach\u00a0for the College of Education at The University of Texas at Austin. He is also Professor in the\u00a0Program in Higher Education Leadership\u00a0in the\u00a0Department of Educational Leadership and Policy (ELP)\u00a0at\u00a0The University of Texas at Austin, where he has served as a faculty member since 2007.\u00a0Additionally, Dr. Reddick serves as the Assistant Director of the\u00a0Plan II Honors Program\u00a0in the College of Liberal Arts. Dr. Reddick is a faculty member by courtesy in the\u00a0Department for African and African Diaspora Studies, the\u00a0John L. Warfield Center for African and African American Studies, and a fellow at the\u00a0Institute for Urban Policy Research and Analysis. Dr. Reddick co-chairs the\u00a0Council for Racial and Ethnic Equity and Diversity (CREED), serves on the\u00a0Signature Course Advisory Committee (SCAC), and was named to the\u00a0inaugural cohort of the Provost\u2019s Distinguished Service Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Reddick is the faculty co-chair for the\u00a0Institute for Educational Management (IEM)\u00a0at Harvard University, and teaches in the\u00a0Institute for Management Leadership in Education. In spring 2018, Dr. Reddick was appointed as a Visiting Associate Professor at the\u00a0Harvard Graduate School of Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Reddick teaches graduate courses on the history of higher education, multicultural modes of mentoring, social and cultural contexts of education, and qualitative research methods.
