My time with Governor Abbott \u2013 first as Attorney General and then as Governor \u2013 inspired me to attend law school. Following law school, I returned to Austin, where I served as Chief of Staff, then Associate General Counsel for the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA). In those roles, I engaged on a wide range of policy and legal issues \u2013 including electric power, natural resources, telecommunications, and agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During my tenure at LCRA, I was also tapped to be interim chief of staff at the state\u2019s primary healthcare agency \u2013 the Health and Human Services Commission \u2013 at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. I helped to coordinate the agency\u2019s general operations as well as its unique role in the State\u2019s response to the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am also an experienced civil litigator with representative experience which includes both businesses and individuals in high-stakes, million-dollar disputes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I earned my Bachelor of Arts in biblical &amp; theological studies from Biola University (California) and my J.D. from Baylor University School of Law.
