Kirk Preston Watson is an attorney and Democratic politician from the capital city of Austin, Texas. He served as Austin’s mayor from 1997 to 2001.
First elected to the Texas Senate in 2006, Senator Watson represented Senate District 14 until 2020, a district which now covers most of Travis County and all of Bastrop County.
