Dr. Sobers has a Doctorate of Education in Administration and Leadership from University of the Pacific in Stockton, California and certifications in Strengths Approaches to Higher Education Leadership and Student Success as well as Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI).
Dr. Sobers is also an Assistant Director for Residence Life in the Department of Housing and Dining at the University of Texas at Austin with 14 years of experience working as a student affairs administrator for 6 colleges/universities. She specializes in leadership development, student government/organizations, residence life, student activities, and assessment.
In 2016 Dr. Sobers started a blog entitled, “Leadership Lessons from Dance” which led to the TEDx Talk entitled, “The Dance of Leadership”.
