Ashley is the Autism Spectrum Education and Outreach Administrator, and manages Longhorn TIES.
Ashley is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with more than eight years of professional experience working in the field of mental and behavioral health serving children, adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities in outpatient and community settings. Before coming to The University of Texas at Austin, Ashley worked as a clinical supervisor of outpatient services at the Burkhart Center for Autism Education and Research on the campus of Texas Tech University. There she provided therapeutic supports to individuals and families receiving applied behavior analysis (ABA), mental health and college support services.
From 2013-2016, Ashley served as a member of the statewide developmental disorder team focusing on the resources provided to customers with autism and other developmental disabilities receiving services through the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitation Services. Ashley received a master’s of science in social work from The University of Texas at Arlington and a bachelor’s of arts in social work from Texas Tech University. She is excited to join the New Student Services’ team and eager to assist the UT Austin community.
