{"id":54,"date":"2025-10-17T20:37:13","date_gmt":"2025-10-17T20:37:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/podcasts.la.utexas.edu\/irancast\/?page_id=54"},"modified":"2025-10-17T20:37:14","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T20:37:14","slug":"irancast","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/podcasts.la.utexas.edu\/irancast\/","title":{"rendered":"IranCast"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Welcome to<em>\u00a0IranCast<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 a podcast series where we discuss important scholarly and trade books on Iran,\u00a0and occasionally significant\u00a0articles that present intellectual interventions in our understanding of Iranian history, politics, and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We launched an earlier version of this podcast initially in response to Iran\u2019s Jina Uprising of 2022. Back then, we called it\u00a0<em>Woman, Life, Freedom: All In On Iran<\/em>. Our intention was to archive experts\u2019 insights immediately in the wake of those events, close to the details, and to leave an oral resource\u00a0for the public\u00a0and scholars alike. Those conversations are still on our podcast site, offering in-depth analysis and reflection on one of the most important uprisings in\u00a0contemporary times; often\u00a0called the first feminist revolution.
