Bassam Sidiki is an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a Faculty Affiliate in their M.A. in Health, Humanities, and Medicine. He received his PhD in English Language and Literature at the University of Michigan (2022), an MA in Medical Humanities and Bioethics at Northwestern University (2017), and an AB in English at Georgetown University (2016). Sidki conducts scholarship and teaching at the juncture of postcolonial studies, health humanities, and disability studies. Additionally, he writes creative nonfiction and poetry.
