In the episode we focus on the topic of listening. We explore the barriers to truly listening to our patients and their families and explore strategies to overcome those barriers. We reflect on how bias limits our ability to be open and really hear what patients, especially patients of color, are trying to tell us. We welcome patient representative and advocate, Lorena Martinez, who discusses her experiences and advice for pediatricians.
