Sanford Jeames

Dr. Sanford Jeames is Adjunct Professor at Huston-Tillotson University and a community health educator and patient advocate. His interests include health education, cancer prevention, and healthier lifestyle interventions, with a focus on underserved populations. He served on the Steering Committee for the Men of Color Health Awareness Program in Springfield, Massachusetts and as Co-Chair for the Prostate Cancer Working Group of the Health Equity and Disparities Workgroup for the Massachusetts Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan. On behalf of the National Cancer Institute, has also served as a protocol reviewer with the Special Emphasis Panel and as a clinical trials reviewer for the Adult Central Institutional Review Board. He currently serves on the American College of Radiology Imaging Network’s Patient Advocacy Committee. He is a manuscript reviewer for Journal of Heath Care for the Poor and Underserved and Urologic Nursing. He is a member of The Society of Urological Surgical Associates, the National Breast Cancer Coalition, and the American Association of Cancer Research, and is an affiliate member of Minorities in Cancer Research.
