Patty Prado, M.A., is the assistant director of leadership development and assessment in the Department of Medical Education.
Prado has worked in higher education at The University of Texas at Austin since 2003. At Dell Medical School, she manages the advancement of leadership development, coaching and assessment initiatives. She oversees Dell Med’s online 360 feedback assessment, facilitates workshops and retreats and serves faculty, staff, students and residents. As a certified professional coach, she works across the Dell Med enterprise with individuals and teams to enhance awareness, effectiveness and personal growth with themselves and their work.
Prado earned her Master of Arts degree in human dimensions of organizations, focusing her research on mindful email strategies in the workplace. As the assistant director for the Office of Admissions, she led campus visitor services including daily operations, staffing, budgeting, assessment and communication for the visitor center and the undergraduate admissions center. In her role as the assistant director in the School of Nursing, she directed student life and special projects, designing and implementing student leadership, academic and career success initiatives for undergraduate and graduate nursing students.
