Emily McLeod

Emily McLeod, MSN, APRN, ACNS-BC, ACHPN, is a licensed adult health clinical nurse specialist in UT Health Austin’s Livestrong Cancer Institutes. She is also a part of both UT Health Austin’s Hereditary Cancer Screening and Risk Reduction care team and UT Health Austin’s CaLM Care Team. She specializes in providing palliative care in the inpatient setting.

Emily McLeod earned both her master’s in nursing and her bachelor’s in nursing from The University of Texas in Austin. She worked in trauma and critical care units at the University Medical Center Brackenridge for eight years, where she received numerous awards and honors. She also designed, developed, and opened community hospital-based palliative care programs for the Seton Healthcare Family of Hospitals in Central Texas.

Emily McLeod is a member of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer.
