Deonna Reese-White

Deonna is currently a 4th year MD & 2nd year MBA dual degree student and Dell Medical School and McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. One of her passion projects is the creation of a non-profit organization that provides a digital platform focused on making LGBTQ+ family building an inclusive, enjoyable, and seamless experience.

Deonna is the VP of Service for eQual MBAs an organization that recently raised $9000 for organizations committed to ending violence and systemic racism against Black people. She also is a Co-Director for the Health Career Collaborative at Dell Medical School, a national program that aims to connect medical students with high school students from backgrounds underrepresented in medicine. Prior to medical school, Deonna was a Teach for America 2012 Corps member, High School Science Teacher, and Guidance Counselor in San Antonio, TX. She grew up in upstate NY and received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Science in Science and Technology Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. When she’s not working you can find her thrift shopping, board gaming, or most recently gardening/learning how to keep plants alive.
