Ciaura Brown is a medical student at University of Texas at Austin’s Dell Medical School. She was born and raised in Houston, TX, where she received a degree in Biology from Houston Baptist University. Moving to Austin to pursue medical education, she has been inspired to address difficulties students of color may face in academic settings after experiencing her own setbacks. She is involved in initiatives that address patient advocacy, pipeline strengthening, and providing healthcare equity.
