Anne Courtney, AOCNP, DNP, is a licensed nurse practitioner in UT Health Austin’s Livestrong Cancer Institutes. She specializes in caring for benign hematology as well as a wide array of cancer diagnosis, including breast cancer, lung and colon cancers, and lymphoma.
Anne Courtney earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from The University of Texas at Austin, her dual nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist master’s from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her bachelor’s in registered nursing from San Diego State University. She also worked for the Division of Thoracic Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she focused on lung cancer, esophageal cancer and disorders, and mesothelioma and sarcoma.
Anne Courtney has a special interest in genetic counseling. She completed a year of training in the Intensive Course in Cancer Risk Assessment through City of Hope to be able to provide genetic counseling for high-risk breast and colon cancers.
