Sarah Sonner is Associate Director for Curation at the Briscoe Center for American History. Sarah joined the Briscoe Center in 2016, and oversees the curation and development of the center’s exhibit program and material culture collections. She received her PhD in Cultural Studies from Goldsmiths College, University of London. She has curated exhibits for the center on topics in American history, social justice, and media production, including Struggle for Justice: Forty Years of Civil Rights Photography, Abbie Hoffman: American Activist, and On with the Fight! Women’s Activism in the Briscoe Center’s Collections.
